Course Descriptions
Investing & Wealth Management:
This Investing and wealth management course is designed to teach students the basics of investing and finance. Strands will cover compound interest, risk analysis, financial statements analysis, asset valuation, financial markets, stock valuations, working capital management, investment vehicles and emerging trends in investing. Students will also be encouraged to explore the accounting and finance pathway and the many career opportunities in investing and finance management.
MGT 2020 Entrepreneurship:
This is an introductory business course, which will expose students to the diverse world of entrepreneurship. Students will learn through examination of entrepreneurship topics such as disruption, technology, forecasting, marketing, finance, capitalization, and other topics that will prepare a student to enter an ever-changing business marketplace. Students who complete this course will have a general knowledge of business, and entrepreneurship, as well as how business plans are drafted and analyzed. Students will learn how individuals function within a specific field, as well as how various disciplines work together in cross-functional teams.
