High School Credit: CTE credit or elective credit: Up to 1 credit.
Concurrent Enrollment: 4 college credits available. Student is responsible for registering and paying for concurrent enrollment classes at SLCC.
Industry Certifications and Skills Certifications: ASE Steering/Suspension, Brake, Electrical, and engine, and Professionalism.
Recommended: Automotive classes, mechanical experience, and the desire to pursue a career in the diesel industry.
Required: Safety-toed boots, work pants, and shirts (clothes that will get dirty, overalls)

DST 1065 ASE Diesel Engines:
This course prepares individuals to apply technical knowledge and skills to the specialized maintenance and repair of trucks, buses, and other commercial and industrial vehicles. Work ethics and productivity are an integral part of the classroom and lab activities of the courses.
