What you'll Learn

Medical Scholars supports the transition from high school to college-level health programs, helps students identify meaningful healthcare career pathways, and provides exposure to entry-level employment opportunities within the medical field. Students will also spend time at local hospitals and training facilities to engage with current industry professionals.

Additional Details:

High School Credit: CTE credit or elective credit: Up to .5 credit

Concurrent Enrollment: 4 college credits. Student is responsible to register and pay for concurrent enrollment classes at Weber State. For more information on these classes, see Appendix.

Course Descriptions

Medical Scholars / HS 2910:

Offers high school juniors and seniors an immersive introduction to the healthcare field, combining health information literacy, healthcare system knowledge, and career exploration. Students engage with eight essential health science topics while developing hands-on healthcare intervention skills through simulations, labs, and cadaver-based learning.
